Our History
The history of “Halwa Al-Saigal” dates back over 100 years, when Grandfather Jassem Al-Saigal (may he rest in peace) began his journey in the confectionery industry in Qatar, weaving a historical tale that brings its owners back to the folds of childhood and memories of the past. “Halwa Al-Saigal” was a primary choice in traditional Qatari occasions such as weddings, holidays, diving trips, and hunting expeditions.
It was also a renowned product among the people of Qatar beyond its borders, as it was an integral part of Qatari culture at that time. Visitors to Qatar made sure that “Halwa Al-Saigal” was an indispensable part of their gifts to their families and loved ones upon their return from Qatar.
In 2022, the granddaughter of the late founder Jassem Al-Saigal (may he rest in peace) revived this history by opening the first branch in Souq Waqif.
